Here at Training for Success we believe that no young people are born gangsters, drug abusers or criminals. We believe it is growing up in the wrong kind of environment and being constantly exposed to negative influences, compounded with some misinformed decisions and choices that we adults make that make some of our young people dangerous social misfits. We fully believe that we as adults are responsible and should be held accountable for making our young people the frightening monsters that roam our streets and terrorize our neighborhoods. We at Training for Success hold ourselves accountable and we accept our responsibilities and we make our apology to all the young people in our community.

WE APOLOGIZE: To the youth of the world, from the Director of Training for Success/ New Horizons, the staff and all adults we apologize to you for allowing you to make decisions when we knew you were not knowledgeable or experienced enough to make. For holding you responsible for your outcomes when we did not provide the tools you needed to meet the expected outcomes. For this WE apologize. Therefore, we are taking our rightful place in your life as your leader, your supporter, your provider and your keeper. As of this day “FAILURE IS NO LONGER AN OPTION”.


Taking Decisive Action: The New Horizons Program


At Training for Success we realize that just an apology without subsequent conrete action is hollow and useless, that’s why we started our signature education program, the New Horizons Program. New Horizons is a place of high expectations, a specialized alternative program for high school dropouts. We take in those who have been rejected and left in hopeless situations by our regular Public School System and give them a second chance. At New Horizons we restore hope in the hopeless, revive confidence in those who have lost faith in themselves and provide a ring of love around those whom society has rejected. Since the start of our signature program we have positively impacted countless lives of the Durham Community young people and with the help and support of the community, we hope to continue to grow and expand our services in the community. But we have very limited resources and so if you appreciate and approve of what we do and would like to become part of us, see how you can help and get involved.
